I believe that everything you need to heal and live as the best version of yourself already resides within you. You are the expert on your life and experiences, and I am here to help guide you in discovering your own resilience, strength, and healing. I aim to create a safe space where you can explore your experiences, emotions, and trauma without judgement. It is my honor to witness your journey. My hope is that you show up as yourself in therapy in whatever way aids in your journey (wear sweatpants, swear, have a snack or drink!). Healing happens in relationship, both in therapy and in your life outside of therapy. I take an empathetic, relaxed, collaborative approach to therapy that is primarily influenced by systems theory. My practice is also influenced by queer and intersectional feminist theory, attachment theory, somatic therapies, and internal family systems/parts work.

I am a non-binary lesbian, queer, fat, and disabled, and my work is deeply influenced by social justice, anti-racism, anti-capitalist, fat liberation and disability justice. I value community, compassion, and open-mindedness. I also believe that therapy is deeply political and as such, it is important to acknowledge the privilege I hold as a white person who passes for my assigned gender. I have particular interest in exploring your identity and sense of self, attachment styles, living with chronic illness/pain, and cPTSD. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced harm perpetuated by the mental health system and aim to create a space where your trauma is heard, seen, and held.

When not in session, you can find me hanging out with my two dogs and cat, reading a queer fantasy novel or thriller, watching dramatic reality tv shows, or drinking coffee. I am currently working under the supervision of Mark Reese, MA, LMFT.
