Therapy Groups

These are the groups that are currently being offered at our practice. If you are interested in finding out more about a group, you can contact the group facilitator and/or their supervisor. These groups are not drop-in and they do require registration. If you would like to register, please contact the group's facilitator as listed for each group. Thank you.

We can accept some insurance plans for any of these groups, but you might need to attend an intake session before the first group meeting so that we can bill insurance (unless you are already a client at Edges Wellness Center LLC). If we don’t accept your insurance plan, or if you prefer to self-pay, we offer a sliding-scale fee of $20-$50 per person for each weekly group.

Currently, all our groups are conducted via telehealth. Please note that some of these groups are already running but are open to new participants, and some are about to start or will start once a minimum number of participants have registered. Feel free to contact the group facilitator if you have any questions and/or to register. Thank you.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Group for Queer folx

Do you identify as LGBTQ+? Do you feel you are struggling with your thoughts, feelings, and emotions?

For many, we are not directly taught (like in school) ways to deal with stress. In fact, we are often taught destructive ways of coping, whether from peers, family, or media, that can make living life feel challenging, or sometimes even impossible.

DBT Skills training can give you tools and insight that will help you to connect to yourself and your emotions to move towards better understanding and processing them. Over 12 weeks, you will learn and practice a range of practical skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and enhance overall well-being.

Be a part of a supportive group environment where you can share experiences, receive feedback, and practice new skills. This 12-week online, closed group. For more info regarding group requirements: https://www.kwscw.org/dbtskills
