Feeling stuck or overwhelmed isn’t proof there’s something wrong with you; it’s evidence you want to take a courageous path to grow and heal. Most of the folks I work with are unhappy with the patterns that play out in their lives and are looking for something better. They often wonder if deep down there is something wrong with them. My belief is that you are not wrong - you are human. Our troubling patterns are often protections built to survive the perils of bad relationships, trauma, and systemic oppression. Dismantling these patterns and building new ones can lead you to a more hopeful, more connected life.
I can help you explore old patterns that have informed old ideas about who you are, and build a better relationship with yourself and others. As a systemic therapist, I pay attention to the cultures, social structures, and relationships that influence your life. I will collaborate with you and work with you as a partner, not an expert or instructor. I especially enjoy working with couples/intimate partners, and am kink and non-monogamy friendly.
Before becoming a therapist, I trained and worked as a theater artist and a youth worker. I am White, queer, non-binary, and a parent.
