I have found that our connections to one another, our loved ones, and nature are at the heart of healing and joy. I bring a safe, warm, open, and affirming approach to therapy where I aim for you to feel understood, seen, and emotionally held. My goal is for us to collaboratively work together on healing your past, thriving in your present, and building towards your future. I believe that we all have the power to heal, and while it can be the hardest thing we ever do, it is absolutely worth it. Being your witness and guide on that journey would be my privilege. You are not alone, you are enough, and together, we can find a way forward that is unique to you and your needs.

In undergrad, my focus of study was on gender and social history, as an intersectional feminist, I gained a deep understanding of the systems that we live within and how their histories continue to impact us today at multiple levels of our identities. As a therapist, unpacking and decolonizing the generational traumas and socializations of racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, fat phobia, and transphobia (to name a few) that can sometimes keep us from the connection and community we are capable of building as humans is one of my passions. As a bi/queer, plus-sized, nature-loving, disabled, white ciswoman I hold space and accountability in recognizing both my privileged and marginalized identities and I would be honored to hold that space for and with you as well. I am drawn to helping clients with trauma work, boundary work and relational struggles, including relationship dissolution and divorce, grief, and adult-child families looking to heal together and build a path forward. The therapeutic approaches I vibe most with are IFS/parts work, ecotherapy, feminist family therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and Brainspotting (training in progress). I work with individuals, intimate partners, and adult-families. With individuals and intimate partners, I bring a sex positive approach where I strive to help y’all meet your goals for what you want and need in your relationship(s) and I welcome all relationship models.

Outside of school and work, I like to be out in nature as much as possible! Spending time with my partner and my cat, Pippa, enjoying music, writing, reading, taking care of my plants, doing creative projects, and watching movies. I am working under the supervision of Coltan Schoenike, MS, LMFT.
