🎓MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I received my Associates of Arts in Psychology at Normandale Community College then Bachelors in psychology at Augsburg University. I am trained in brain spotting.
Some things that get me excited about therapy is being able to let folks be their true selves, helping folks heal from guilt and shame, and finding self compassion for themselves. I especially like supporting folks who are exploring: relationship with spirituality/religion, religious deconstruction, gender identity, finding what people are passionate about, self compassion, and adjusting to the world in different ways.
My super power as a therapist is my ability to be as human as possible with my clients, I make mistakes, you will make mistakes and all that is ok! We can work together on being comfortable with that reality. you have permission to be human, imperfect, and vulnerable without shame, judgment, or guilt.
As a fat, queer, disabled, neurodivergent, witchy, anti-capitalist person, my approach to this work is informed by my values in anti-racism, anti-capitalism, queerness and intersectional feminist theory, fat liberation, and disability justice. My style is rooted in these values. Our work will be trauma informed, collaborative, sex-positive and systemic.
Outside of work, you can find me at concerts head banging, cuddling and annoying my cats, learning and collecting crystals and herbs, or binge watching anime.
