Relationships and families often start on hope for a future of moments to remember and cherish, but the process can have many stumbles and pitfalls that strain the connections that this basis is built on. I believe that having a safe and supportive environment to slowly build back the foundation of these relationships can put the dream of that scrapbook of memories into focus. We are also grappling with an oppressive and brutal social system to live our lives and survive in, especially for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, which can make these moments of lost connection harder to handle. I work from a perspective of recognition and honor for communities that are harmed by our society. Fostering community and strengthening our care for those that we need to hold onto is a stabilizing force for a better future.

My approach to therapy is informed by a systematic and narrative focused lens. I have Gottman Level 1 Certification for couples work. I am a Masters level intern working towards graduation. Currently attending Saint Maryโ€™s University in the Marriage and Family therapy program. I am also interested in utilizing IFS, feminist, and solutions-focused therapy. The stories we tell of ourselves, our families, and our relationships are shaped by how we see our past and what we understand of the world by the society that surrounds us. Rewriting and understanding these stories jointly with care and compassion can open up to a healed and unified team to battle future issues together, instead of alone. I am passionate about working in areas of identity development, relational conflict and repair for couples or families, navigating through trauma, and adjusting to life transitions. I have work experience with helping families in poverty to navigate around governmental assistance and finding fulfilling work within the constraints of capitalism. I believe in collaboration with clients to come up with helpful solutions and strategies for responding to lifeโ€™s obstacles, and that each person's truth should be respected and understood within the process of therapy.

I will walk with you along your journey and provide room for exploration of different paths to go on, with freedom to walk each path yourself and a safe place to come back to if there are struggles along the way. In my free time I love to draw, analyze movies and tv shows, read romantic or fantastical books, play cozy video games, and relax out in nature.
