I firmly believe community and education are essential aspects of healing and growth. Community can be as expansive a definition as we each like to make it. Sometimes that means just one person there to listen and support us through our life’s journey, who will make all the difference in changing outcomes for the better. Learning about ourselves through our own lens and lived experiences is imperative to gaining insight about our internal world and thought processes. I chose to become a therapist because I have seen, first-hand, the importance of such connections. I hope to have the opportunity to walk alongside you through the peaks and valleys of your healing process.

I am passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental space that allows clients to explore the parts that make them who they are and informs how they interact with the world around them. I prefer to examine a client’s experience and assess needs through the lenses of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Feminist Family Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). To me, the parts work done with IFS is crucial to truly understanding who one is and can be based on the embracing of or healing from the messages we received throughout our lifetimes by our families of origin and society as a whole.

I have a strong background in activism, allyship, advocacy work, creation of and connection to communal resources for those in need. I also have a social work and education background, working with children, teens, and adults. I enjoy working with all types of clients, especially those from marginalized communities such as those with disabilities and neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ clients, and BIPOC clients. I am particularly interested in helping these communities thrive in ways that are meaningful to each individual, but also within their personal relationships with others. Some of the most strained relationships can find solace in education about themselves and those they care about; sometimes, genuine curiosity helps rebuild bridges once thought burned. Whether working with couples in crisis, families struggling with communication, or individuals dealing with all that comes with being a human in this wild experience, I am committed to helping clients build healthier connections and achieve meaningful growth.

Outside the therapy space, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our children, kayaking, getting out in nature, meditating, gardening, cooking and baking for friends and family, staying active in my community, and traveling. I look forward to meeting you! I am working under the supervision of Coltan Schoenike, MS, LMFT.
